Artist's Comments

Model: Me

Did some selective color work in CS. Not too sure about the color... I love the composition & I think the outlets are a little distracting, but what can you do.

Inspired by Coldplays, "The Scientist"

Tulip -

I agree about the color. I think the color is close to being spot on. Only thing I would like to see is a bit more contrast.

Good shot.

I agree on the contrast... I was a little frustrated by the shooting conditions... I have this "white" wall... that isn't so "white". I'll see if I can do anything in CS. Thanx for the detailed comments as always. =)

Just popping in from the Thumbshare forum to see what you've got around. I like the idea behind this - the very flat coloring and the blank walls really draw out the feeling of solitude as the title suggests. I agree, yes, the outlets are a little distracting. If possible, I might recommend trying to blend out the pattern in the floor - that is probably the most distracting part since it's 'busy' compared to the walls (the same technique might also help the outlet issue as well). I understand frustrating shooting backgrounds - I think most photographers have that sort of trouble at some time or another. I like the work overall, though, as I think the concept is pulled off well. Keep up the good work :)

Fantastic song by the way, see where you got the concept.

Its a good photo, the shadow on the wall is very effective - so the lighting clearly worked well. I am not too sure about the colour either, I think if you can bump the contrast up a little (should be easy enough) it will do wonders for this photo. I think if you sort the contrast you could have a very effective photo here. Only one other thing and thats the plug sockets, they are a little annoying, but I think it works well anyway.

Would love more contrast on this.
